Career Prospect

<img src="Forensic Science.jpg" alt="Forensic"/>

A profession in the Forensic Science differs from a profession in any other field. To get success in the profession one needs to prove one's mettle. Only after proving one's talent at a particular level, several times, one gets further responsibilities. This is the only way to succeed in this profession.

For a job, an applicant first need to apply in the government institutes like the Intelligence Bureau, The Central Bureau of Investigation, other crime investigation offices and the law enforcement agencies.

One may choose to join as a Forensic Science Teacher in an educational establishment as an alternative for the Fieldwork. However, the more real-time work experience one has in the fieldwork or laboratory work helps one getting recruited in better educational institutes with better salary.

Expected Salary

For a beginner Graduate, the salary is RS 7000 per month. For a Post Graduate, with a specialisation in any of the branches of Forensic Science, the salary is RS 10,000 per month. Besides, the nature of work and promotions also determines the salary structure. However, the salary structure in the private Forensic laboratories a bit more. The reason is private detective agencies recruit only those who have a high quality training or extensive experience in the field. Hence, one needs to make a head start from the government agencies. Moreover, a Forensic expert may also work as a freelancer. Here, the scope of income depends on respective cases and labour of the experts.

Varun was unable to concentrate on his blog. He drank a glass of cold water and cleaned his specs with a soft piece of cotton cloth, but all his effort to concentrate hard went in vain. He logged out, switched off his laptop PC and went to bed for a sound sleep. All a sudden, his mobile beeped. He picked it up and before he could speak Dipa went on. “Hello Varun, just now I got the news that tomorrow is our CA Final results. Wish you good luck.” Varun enquired, ''Will you be able to meet me tomorrow? Dipa asked,”When and where? “At the Victoria Memorial” answered Varun. “Why?” asked Dipa. “I need to talk to you something important” said Varun. “OK! But only after the results are out.” Dipa replied, “ Cool, we would meet in the evening,” said Varun.

They met, as scheduled

Varun and Dipa met as scheduled and congratulated each other for excelling in the exam. “What are your plans now that you have been through CA?” Enquired Dipa. “To carry on with my freelancing career,” replied Varun. Dipa,”What? What do you mean, Varun? “It is Simple, I would carry on doing what I have been doing over the last couple of years” said Varun. “Are you kidding? You want to sacrifice your career for the sake of your something naughty-naughty blog? Interrupted Dipa. Varun said, “Hey Dipa, it is not naughty-naughty blog, it is Career fifty-fifty. Dipa, “Whatever I do not care..., you wanted to speak something important, right? At this point, accidentally, Varun held her hand so tightly that made a couple of bangles broke into pieces and her hand started bleeding . Dipa pulled her hand back and planted a tight slap on his left face. She took a few steps back and left the spot.

Dipa leaves Varun for Career

<img src="career.jpg" alt="career"/>
Conversation between Varun and Dipa
After a week Varun rung Dipa, but there was no response. Finally, on the third attempt she picked up her mobile. Varun murmured,”Hello Dipa!” but there was no response from the other side. He carried on and said, “I am sorry if I have hurt you or your sentiments that day.” Finally, she spoke wiping tears from her cheeks, “It is OK Varun, we are still good friends. I have a piece of good news which I want to share with you.” Varun mumbled, “sure!” “I am hired as a financial manager in a top ranking CA firm at Bangalore and tomorrow I would be living Kolkata for the same.” said Dipa. She added, “I would miss a good friend like you, Varun.” Varun congratulated her, and said that Bangalore is not that far from Kolkata and they could be in touch.” That was perhaps the last conversation they had on air.

After 5 years, (at present)

Varun giving a speech in a jam packed auditorium to the young career aspirants. After his speech, the hall buzzing with claps and people gathering around him for autographs. He has to host a conference in another city so he tries to leave the place in a hurry. He could hardly make his way through the crowd to his car. On the spur of the moment, someone holds his hand and takes him to the peaceful lawn nearby. Now he discovers that a lady helped him, but he could not see her as she has a headscarf (ghoonghat). He said, “Thanks for your well-timed co-operation and help.” As he opens the door of his car the lady spoke, “Won't you slap me for holding your hand tightly as someone did with you years ago.” Varun turns around and finds Dipa standing in front of him with her headscarf removed. She continues, “Welcome my friend, freelancer and a blogger cum orator. I could not believe that your naughty-naughty blog has earned you so much popularity, fame and made you a top-notch professional which you are today. I am proud of you, Varun!” Varun hurried, “Hey Dipa, “It is not naughty-naughty, it is Career fifty-fifty!” They both burst into laughter as people around them clapping and whistling.
