The Bengal Tax Counsel Institute has been conducting the Professional Certification in Accounting and Taxation (PCAT) course for more than a decade and a half now in Kolkata. Graduates from the Law or Commerce stream may take admission for the course. The course is available for professionals as well. The one year PCAT course duration consists of the vat, cst, income service tax, e-tds, e-filing along with computer packages like tally, etc. The course fee is RS 21,000 which could be paid in lump sum during admission or in small amounts on instalment basis. Candidates may work as accountants during continuation of the course or as tax consultants after the completion of the course.
The institute takes admission twice in a calendar year in the months of June and November. The last date for admission is 30th June 2016. Application form for admission is available from the institute office at RS 50.
