The initiative of the Indian Government made it possible to declare 21st June as the International Yoga Day. Last year, the day was celebrated by almost 171 countries of the world. However, before the annual event, several initiatives were taken by the government to make the event popular to everyone. Several workshops and programs were scheduled and executed at state levels a month before the actual event.
