Yoddha, a high budget Bengali movie, all set to release during the propitious occasion of the Durga Puja. Although the film a remake of the 2009 Telugu blockbuster release “Magadheera,” it has its own unique features and characteristics to offer the present audience. Director Raj Chakraborty has thrown up a big challenge as the film of big budget in spite of no overseas shooting. The film also in the limelight because superstar Dev and actress Mimi Chakraborty pairing up in this movie for the first time.

Story and plot
The story is based on the historical Mauryan times. The story is on the historical fights between a hero and a villain centering around the heroine. Dev plays the character of Rudra and actress Mimi Chakraborty plays the character of Durga.
