Bihar government would recruit 13120 employees in various posts including clerk, typist, stenographer and forest guard. It would select the candidates in A, and B groups through the Bihar staff selection commission examination. Candidates from West Bengal could apply in the general category for 5280 vacancies. Candidates who belong to the scheduled tribes and OBC also need to apply in the general category.
The detailed vacancies in the general category given below:
Group A
Forest Guard – Total number of vacancies are 363 out of which 42 are for the Assistant Sub-Inspector post, 39 for the Typist Assistant Sub-Inspector post and 61 for the Master Trainer post.
Group B
Vacancies for the Stenographer post in the Environment and Forest Office are 9, Assistant Urdu Translator post are 18, Stenographer in the Food and Consumer Protection Office are 30, Stenographer is 1. Vacancies in the Panchayat Sachiv - 1136, lower division clerk – 16, clerk – 6 etc. Vacancies in the revenue worker – 1962.
Required qualification
Higher Secondary (10 + 2) pass for the Group A posts. For the position of the Assistant Sub-Inspector candidates should have the knowledge in English and Hindi typing. For the dealing Assistant Sub-Inspector post candidates should have the knowledge in stenography.
For some of the Group B posts the required qualification is Higher Secondary or 10+2. Knowledge of shorthand and typing is a must for the stenographer posts. For the Assistant Urdu Transcript position candidates need to pass Higher Secondary or 10+2 in Urdu and Arts. Besides, Knowledge of Hindi is preferred. For the posts of clerks, Hindi lower division clerks, Urdu lower division clerks knowledge of computer and typing are must. Further, for the transport division lower division clerk posts knowledge in computer work is essential.
Age - For the forest guard post age should be within 18 to 23 years and for all the other posts age should be within 18 to 37 years. For women, age should be within 18 to 40 years.
Selection Procedure
Candidates applying for any of the posts have to clear the written examination. Candidates applying for the Group A posts have to clear the physical ability test. Besides, candidates applying for the Group B category need to clear the type, stenography, computer tests respectively.
Salary – The salary ranges from RS 5200 to RS 20,200. The grade-pay ranges from RS 1900 to RS 2400 according to post.
