What is happiness? Does it come from money, authority and strength or from the so-called luxuries of life? Even though the answer to the queries would vary to an extent, but may hover around closely to the elements mentioned before. To be frank, all these elements could be the means of happiness, but could not by themselves bring happiness. Therefore, the basic elements of life like physical strength, authority and other material things could not bring happiness in the true sense. What is happiness then?
Removing a pinching shoe or drinking water after being thirsty for a while brings in happiness as well, but these are temporary happiness. Now, since this topic getting wider let’s find the answer from a broader sense perspective. So, how do we achieve permanent happiness? From a broader prospective we may say it’s gained through a feeling of well-being and nourishing the idea of having positive attitude towards life. It means to be happy we need to peep into the brighter prospective of life. When we speak of leading a brighter life, it could be achieved only by cherishing the idea of helping others – especially, the needy ones. The Child In Need Institute (CINI) investing the earnings derived from the Monobitan Park picnic spot for the service of the poor and unprivileged children of the society. It’s an NGO that has been involved in doing this noble cause for some time now. So, today Life Breezy is indeed happy and finds pleasure to describe the picnic spot so that it gets that much wider coverage and visitors don’t miss the opportunity to visit such a wonderful place in the close vicinity of the metropolitan city of Kolkata.
Attractions and activities
It’s the sheer initiative of the CINI that the Monobitan Park got inaugurated around a few years ago in Kolkata. Since then the adventure park has gone through phases of development and today it has developed into a top recreation centre and a remarkable picnic spot within the city. It is located at the Thakurpukur Bazar Road Crossing, (Bakrahat Road, Joka) on the Diamond Harbour Road. It’s important to note though Bakrahat is seven and a half kilometres away from Thakurpukur. Covering an area of around five acres, the spot is an all-in-one entertainment centre for all the age groups including children. Starting from cycling, boating, roller skating, crafted cave to Italian rope way (cable ride), merry-go-round, etc., would guarantee entertainment to the core. Nearly 400 to 500 people could picnic here on any given day.
Night stay is possible here for a big group of visitors consisting of eighteen to twenty people. The rent for the AC room is RS 1100 and for the non-AC it’s RS 600. The rent for the whole spot on any of the weekdays from Monday to Friday is RS 15000. However, rent for the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays ranges from RS 18000 to RS 20000. Moreover, the spot is well –equipped with conference rooms as wells. The rent for the AC conference room is RS 2800 and the rent for the non-AC room is RS 2000. Catering facility is available here as well. Apart from picnic, one may book the spot for arranging functions, parties, corporate meetings, conferences and weddings as well.
