However, the main attraction of the place is the natural beauty of the bank of the river Ganga. It is from here only ferry service available every hour for the Atanna Gate or Garchumuk of the Howrah District. Atanna Gate is a popular weekend destination beside the river Ganga with awesome barrage and the Deer Park in Garchumuk as its main attractions. Since the journey takes only twenty minutes, you may visit there from here amidst your picnic activity.
Only one group of people could enjoy picnic here at a time. The booking charges for the spot is RS 3000. You may carry all the materials needed for the picnic. However, there is another option available. If you may inform the garden authorities beforehand they would arrange everything for your picnic.
To get there
Plenty of options available from Kolkata to reach the place. Board a train from the Sealdah South Section, Kolkata in the Sealdah-Diamond Harbour route and get down at the Diamond Harbour Station. Then, board bus number 246 and get down at the last bus stop in the riverbank at Baduli.
Alternatively, you may board bus number SD-26 from the Babughat or SD-30 bus from the Taratala and get down at the Bisalakhitala More and then board an auto or a bus to reach the spot. Similarly, you may board the Ankurhati-Bisalakhitala bus from the Howrah Station to reach the spot.
