They participate with full spirit in the annual fair of Binda Mela celebrated in the month of October, every year. It is celebrated for fifteen days and a popular fair of the region.
Located 18 kilometres away from the Ghatshila is the Dharagiri Falls in the hilly forested area. The famous Barudih Dam locates in the way – A huge water reservoir surrounded by hills on the three sides. Galudih locates only eight kilometres away from here. It is a beautiful place and good for the health aspects of the visitors. You would notice here a big difference in the looks and characteristics of the Subarnarekha river. Satgurung – A green forested area located within a distance from here. If you concentrate, you could heard the sound of Madal (beating drums) coming from the distant breeze of the tribal village.

How to reach
It locates 239 kilometres away from the Kolkata city in the West Bengal State. People from the Kolkata and nearby regions crowd here for weekend vacations. From the Howrah Station trains like the Ispat Express, Steel Express, Kurla Express available. Besides, from the Kharagpur Station, Tata Passenger Express and many other local trains available.
If you plan a trip from Kolkata, your driving route plan would be via the NH-6 to Baharagora and then follow the road to Jamshedpur. Besides, from Kolkata, buses that go to Jamshedpur and Ranchi make their way through Ghatshila. Buses are also available from the Kharagpur.
