Srisailam, a sacred town in the Nallamala hills, beacons the tourists from the different regions of the world. Package tour is a great option to visit this place. Not only this relieves one from the confusion of reaching the place at proper time, but also it makes the journey safe and enduring. The distance between Srisailam and Hyderabad, is 235 Kilometers. Buses are available from the Mahatma Gandhi bus stand. It takes around seven hours to get there by bus journey. Alternatively, one may also hire a car, but one must keep in mind that from 9pm to 6am the road remains close. The nearest railway stations are Markapur and Kurnool while the nearest international airport is the Rajiv Gandhi international airport.

State tourism hotels are available for the visitors. Rent charges are around Rs 1600 to RS 1800 and for the dormitory is RS 200. Besides, some guest houses available from the temple committee, but advance booking is not possible. During the festive season of Shiv Ratri, in February and March, the hotels and lodges get occupied with visitors.

- Akkamahadevi Caves: It is a cave named after the Akka Mahadevi of Karnataka. Deep inside in the dark rests a Shivlinga. To reach the spot, visitors need to travel in motor boats of the tourism department.
- Mallela Theertham: It is a waterfall 50 Kilometers away from Srisailam. It rests on the lap of a dense forest.
- Srisailam Dam: This is one popular attraction of the place and locates at the bank of river Krishna. It is one of the hydroelectric power project in the Nallamala hills. It has 12 crest gates and elevates 300 meters. Stretching 512 meter long it rests in the dense forest.
- Hemareddy Mallamma Temple: The temple had its inauguration in the year, 2010. Built by the Veerashaiva Reddy Samaj this place attracts volumes of visitors who crowd here to offer prayers.
- Bhramaramba Devi Temple: Still known by its ancient name this temple locates on the Dedicated to goddess Parvati and Lord Mallikarjuna this temple has its own charm.
- Srisailam Sanctuary: Known as a tiger reserve it covers a huge area enveloping the different districts within its vicinity. Thick deciduous and bamboo trees comprehend the region. Different variety of wildlife including the hyenas, tigers, pangolin, deer, leopards, turtles, black bucks, etc., breeds here. It also boasts of a well-known crocodile breeding center.
