Situated at an altitude of 3760 feet it is also known as the ‘Queen of Chotanagpur.’ Attaining the fame of a popular hill station the region is popular for viewing the early sunrises and the evening sunsets. Far from the touches of any modernity, nature here shelters itself under the shades of casuarinas and pine trees. Besides, the zigzag walkways through the lakes, springs and forests provide one with the most happening experience of being in a place that is unique in all aspects.
The Sunshine Point is located merely one kilometre away from the Netarhat bus stand. It is the best point to visit the sunrise and sunset. The Koyal View Point located two kilometres away introduces the zigzag journey of the Koyal River on the hills. Descending ten kilometres from here would lead you to the Magnolia Point. It holds its significance because it unfolds the remarkable view of the Chotanagpur Plateau to the viewers. Besides, the Upper Ghagri and the Lower Ghagri attracts the visitors as well. With the initiative of the government, a tea state is launched here.

To get there
Ranchi is the nearest railway station to Netarhat. Shatabdi Express departs every day (except Sunday) from the Howrah Station at 6:05am and reaches Ranchi at 1:20pm on the same day. Besides, the Howrah-Ranchi Intercity Express departs from the Howrah Station at 2:25pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday and reaches Ranchi at 10:10pm on the same day. A bus journey from Ranchi to Netarhat takes around seven hours. Buses from Ranchi to Netarhat are available at 7am, 8am, 10:30am and 12:30pm.
