Calcutta Snake Park at Badu, Madhyamgram |
The Calcutta Snake Park was opened way back in 1977 with the goal of awakening awareness among the people towards animals and their importance in human life. With the passage of time it turned out to be one of the most happening spots nearby Kolkata both for the animals/nature lovers and general visitors after the Alipore Zoological Garden. However, not for a moment we are trying to compare this park with the Alipore Zoo in Kolkata. The Alipore Zoo has its own flair, variety and versatility for it is more like a heritage of the Kolkata City and we love it. Talking about the Snake Park it has gone through many ups and downs with the passage of time. With no undue exaggeration, the park has successfully been able to sustain all the highs or lows and is open for all its visitors today.
