The Nundy Bagan picnic resort is located at 6, G. T. Road at the banks of the Hooghly River in Konnagar. One salient feature of this spot is its capacity to occupy around 350 to 400 people. Notably, only four groups are allowed for picnic here on any given day including two bigger groups and two smaller groups. The rent for the two bigger spots is RS 7000 each and the rent for the other two small spots is RS 3000 each. However, the rent on booking the entire spot is negotiable.
The strategic location of this picnic spot on the River Hooghly bank, its green spacious surrounding and its capacity to entertain large group of people has earned it the fame of a suitable spot for any other important event as well besides picnic. Visitors may board any local train like the Bandel Local, Tarakeswar Local, Shrirampur Local, Sheoraphuli Local, etc., in the Howrah-Sheoraphuli-Bandel main railway line route and get down at the Konnagar Railway Station. Cycle-rickshaws and auto-rickshaws are available from the station for the Nundy Bagan Picnic Spot. Reserving an auto-rickshaw would cost around RS 40 to RS 50 while hiring cycle rickshaw would cost around RS 20 to RS 25 from the station to the spot. However, one may reach the spot by the roadway through the G. T. Road as well.
