Marine National Park
Marine National Park is located in the Gulf of Kutch at the Jamnagar district of the Gujarat State. To be precise, it is sixty kilometres away from Jamnagar. Covering a vast area of around 163 square kilometres along with forty two island regions it boasts as the first marine national park of India. A marine park, known for sampling an array of unique diversity together, with the presence of diverse varieties of flora, fauna, marine animals and birds. This part of the world remains in full bloom from early October to May. Once you’re transported into this magical place your first priority becomes to explore the region with every step forward. However, the best time of the day to explore the park is during the tides. As a precaution, never choose to walk barefoot rather comfort yourself with any light weighted waterproof shoes to protect your feet. Pirotan Island – The total charges here is RS 2100 including boat ride fare, guide, permit, etc.
Narala Island – The entry fee is RS 30, car permit is RS 35 and the camera charge is RS 50.

To get there


From Jamnagar in Gujarat it takes around twenty minutes to reach Bedi Port. A boat journey from here for a couple of hours would take you to the Pirotan Island. It is important to note that a boat ride here depends on the tides.

Besides, from Jamnagar in Gujarat you may plan to travel Narala Island. The Island locates only sixty kilometers away from Jamnagar.

Hotel President is one best option for lodging near the Marine National Park. The rent for a double bedroom ranges from RS 800 to RS 3000. Permit for the Narala Island is available here as well.
