About Srimati Techno Institute (STI)
Today, Life Breezy is coming up with the fourth career guide of the series. All in all, it would discuss the Srimati Techno Institute (STI) located in Kolkata, West Bengal. It’s an autonomous institute established in 1989 and affiliated to the Punjab Technical Institute & the WBSTC councils. It’s relevant to mention here that today’s Srimati Techno Institute (STI) was earlier known as the National Techno Institute (NTI). The institute is like a vision come true for a group of like-minded teachers and professors who stood beside it and played significant role in its formation, development or the success/popularity it enjoys today.
Aims objectives & accelerate
The institute runs with certain aims and objectives towards the society since its inception. It has been successfully promoting and producing technical experts in various fields to cater the needs of the time. It has vouched to solve the unemployment problems in the country by generating and producing employment opportunities to its candidates in various fields. For this, it has a dedicated placement cell in the institute and tie-ups with various companies. It has a firm belief over what it preaches and carries out the same in practise as well. Besides, it’s excellent and experienced teaching faculty comprise of academicians, teachers and professors of various fields. Their teaching methodologies and the use of cutting-edge technologies set them at par from others. Understandably in the year 2007, it has been awarded with 9001:2008 certification for imparting quality education and management.

The course programs are basically divided into three groups according to the requirement. These are computer courses, technical/IT and university programs.
Computer courses– This include courses like Auto Cad, Computer application and program, (CAP), Computer hardware and networking, mastering networking technology, mastering web technology, multimedia animation and graphics, professional DTP designing, etc.
Technical / IT courses– This include automobile engineering and servicing, automobile technician, draughtsman (civil & mechanical), electrician (electrical, wireman & supervisor), fitter & turner, mobile phone repairing, refrigeration, air-conditioner, video photography & edition, etc.
University Programs– This includes the various degree programs, diploma programs, master programs, post graduate programs, traditional programs, etc.
