As usual, Life Breezy was planning to come up with a narrative writing this week as well. But not too long ago one of its loyal readers expressed her keen desire to pen down a few words from her mind in this site. So we (Life Breezy & me, of course!) decided not to over think and give her the due take she expects from the site. Today, we feel happy, proud and excited to present before you Arati Sinha who would be narrating her experience over a weekend destination which she has explored some time ago.

Hullo Friends! I’m Arati Sinha living in Belur, West Bengal. And, I am happy today because after a lot of hiccups (ifs and buts), I finally got the opportunity to contribute something in Life Breezy (must admit that!) and I am thankful to them. I am going to share with you an interesting weekend destination known as the Beloon Eco Village located at the banks of the Shibai River in Bardhaman.

Attractions and activities

Although the monsoon checked in more than a week behind schedule, but indeed it brought relief to people who had been thirsting for its arrival. Now, we feel like a much happier and creative bunch of people witnessing the blue sky turning grey, experiencing the bursts of heavy monsoon-like winds and feeling to the heart depth the occasional incessant downpour.

Not too long ago I along with my family members had been to Beloon Eco village located only 175 kilometres away from the City of Joy, Kolkata. Besides the monsoon, if you get down here during the winter you would be equally fascinated by the natural charm of the spot. One special attraction of the winter is the migratory birds that crowd near the water bodies. Imagine the joy of watching these colourful birds in an open surrounding playfully busy in the regular activities. You may spend hours watching them, but then you may feel to watch them a few more minutes and seconds.

Besides, you may plan to sit at the banks of the river silently to hear the sweet and soft cacophony of the birds coming from the distant zone and view the slow progressing of the crystal clear river water. Definitely, it would purify you from within for sure. Besides, the glimpse of the sailing boats would give you thoughts and imaginations a new dimension. I remember at this point, I couldn’t resist myself from venturing to the water. So, we hired a boat for a short trip on the river water. I have to accept it had been a unique experience especially for me since because I spend most of the time inside the four walls and rarely get an opportunity to move out. Moreover, if you wish you may take a fishing rod along for enjoying the fishing activity in the river.

Apart from enjoying and viewing the beautiful migratory birds, boat riding activity, fishing in the river waters, etc., make sure to take a walk around the village. The rural atmosphere would attract calm down your senses for sure.
