For some time now, movies related with ghosts have been the silver lining for the Tollywood industry. The trend caught up with the movie Bhooter Bhabishyat as it did a good business at the box office. Then, followed a series of Tollywood movies like the Goynar Baksho, Jekhane Bhooter Bhoy, Adbhoot, Aschorjo Prodip, etc., that tasted the water of success with ghost playing the latent success factor in the movies. Now, the latest in the series is the movie Bhoot Adbhoot by debutant director Anubrata Dutta.

Story/Plot
This movie is based on paranormal activity – An initiative to derive scientific explanation based on different ghostly activities and experiences. However, the question is why the movie named as Bhoot Adbhoot? Well, it's because the movie unfolds two stories; the first story is Bhoot for those who believe in ghosts and the second story is Adbhoot for those who do not believe in the existence of ghosts.
The name of the first story is Bhoot as it deals with the subject of ghost. An ancient palace is the centre point of the story. A group of youngsters come here for picnic. Moreover, a gentleman arrives at the spot to buy the ancient palace. In the middle of scene some paranormal activities occur in the palace, that harm the visitors. To solve the mystery a ghost specialist CID intervenes.
The name of the second story is Adbhoot - Dealing with researches and explanations of the hypothesis if ghosts exist. This story revolves around an aged person, an owner of a house. He claims that he sees his lookalike wandering his house every night. One day, he somehow manages to slap his lookalike, but the question is how could he could he slap a ghost or spirit? This incident leads to another debacle if his lookalike is a ghost or someone else in the house. Soon a team of experts arrive to solve this mystery.

It's another opportunity for the audience to view and experience a ghost thriller movie. Though the film is not a regular commercial movie, but a realistic one to watch out for. Besides, the ghosts, the film has the perfect blend of romance, comedy and excitement. The film is tailor-made for both types of audiences – those that believe in the existence of ghost and for those who do not believe in the existence of any such thing. The important character of Dr. Archit Ganguly in the film played by the veteran actor Sabyasachi Chakraborty while Satyanarayan Chowdhury plays the central character in the second story. The shooting took place at the various locations of the West Bengal State including the Baruipur Rajbari, Baghbazar Basubari, Park Street, etc.
