Picture of HTC Desire 210 |
It's a good looking budget smartphone in the size of 125.7 x 65 x 10.5mm and weighing 130 gram with the battery. The matte finish (scratch resistant to an extent) back cover soothes the eyes. It has the 5.0 megapixel camera on it without the flash feature. Unlike may other smartphone, the speaker is at the top front near the 0.3 mp VGA camera. Located below the button is the indent to remove the back cover. Once you remove the back panel, you would notice the 1300 mAh battery, two SIM slots and a micro SD slot. The SIM one suited to work in the 3G mode while the SIM 2 suited to work in the regular 2G mode.
Hardware feature
It has 4 GB of internal memory expandable up to 32 GB with the help of the external memory card. Besides, it's powered by 1 GHz MediaTek dual core processor with 512 MB RAM. Too low compared with other devices available in the same price range. Moreover, the rear 5 megapixel camera without flash and its average battery power are its other drawbacks. However, the speaker produces a good quality sound in a decent volume. Apart from this, the touch sensor response of the device is better.
Software feature
It runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. You may point this out to be an older version of Android considering the other manufactures providing latest version in their new handsets within the same range. However, the proprietary dynamic UI and the BlackFeed providing a better and smooth user experience altogether. Moreover, it has some essential preloaded applications like the Polaris Office 5, WeChat, the dedicated FM radio application, etc. The experience with the front and the back cameras were somewhat disappointing as it fails to snap sharper images. It lacks the flash and auto focus feature too.
Opinion
One would be more than glad to grab a handset from a reputed brand and that too which looks good in hand. Besides, its quality responsive touch screen, home screen feeds, 720p video recorder, good quality audio output and BlackFeed UI are its other great notable features. Taking the RS 8100 price in consideration, it's a device with decent features to have in hand. However, there are lots of scope for concern like the less RAM, low battery performance and average camera output. The good news that it's an affordable handset from a branded company, but it would face severe competition in the market from other handset manufactures. Now, the decision is up to you, what you finally choose.
