Debutant director, Sudipto Chattopadhyay busy giving the last-minute touches to his anxious project Highway starring Koel Mallick and Parambrata Chatterjee. The film sets for a scheduled release in the month of August. Though the title name of the film changed a couple of times while in the production process, but finally named as the “Highway”. Beyond any doubt, the Highway is one important point in the film on which the entire story revolves around.

Story/Plot
The story centres around love, emotions, drama, bridging gaps in after marriage life and the various ups/downs one goes through in life. Sohini Dasgupta (Koel) and Ashwin Kapoor (Parambrata) meet for the first time in a highway and it plays significant role throughout the movie. It has been a witness to the various ups and downs of their relationship.
Sohini Dasgupta is a typical Bengali woman who comes from Delhi to Kolkata and works in an NGO. She has the clear thoughts about the good and the bad and its consequences in life. Since, she has lost her mother in the childhood she is more mature in thoughts than her tender age. On the other hand, Ashwin is a young man based in the Kolkata city. Though they enjoy a happy marriage life, but soon their life get into crises. They separate from each other, but in no time they find life unlivable without each other's presence. They desperately miss each other in their individual lives. Now guess what we need to do for them? We need to wait for the release of the film to find out the reason of their separation and to find out if they reunites again to enjoy a lovable life.
