Bindaas (2014): A Romance and Action Thriller Movie

In the last few years, festivals and new films release have become two inseparable elements of the success formula for the silver screen industry. The audience welcomes the idea warmly because it privileges them in the festive mood with the full quota of spicy entertainment. This Eid, new Bengali movie Bindaas set to release in the theatres and multiplexes to enthral the crowd. Directed by the renowned director, Rajib Biswas, the film promises a high voltage of action, drama and romance. Moreover, superstar Dev for the first time playing a double role in the movie while actress Srabanti Chatterjee and Sayantika Banerjee playing the female lead roles.

Story/Plot

Abhimanyu (Deb) an engineering student based in London meets Kajal (Sayantika Banerjee). Soon their friendship changes into a love affair. Kajal discloses to Abhimanyu that she belongs to a village in the West Bengal State, India. She suspects her family members would not accept their relationship because of their ardent, turbulent and obstinate nature.

However, Abhimanyu is a young man of today who has the firm belief in his principles and ideologies of life. He firmly believes love has the power to win over violence, hatred and envy. The climax of the story takes a twist when he comes to India and meets Kajal's family. Though everyone in the family accepts him on the first sight, but he understands the family members are short-tempered and rough by nature.

Eventually, the moment comes when they allow him to tie the holy knot with Kajal, but on a condition. The condition is Abhimanyu has to kill a young man named Abhi of their neighbouring and their rivalry village. On hearing this condition, Abhi's heart gets filled with emotions and hatred for them. However, he controls himself and tries his best to convince them to make peace with the rivalry village.

There is another angle of love in this film. Anjali (Srabanti Chatterjee), an orphan by birth lives with Abhimanyu's family. She loves him more than her life and dreams to spend her life with him in the future. Will Abhimanyu be successful in convincing the family to make peace with the rivalry village? Who would he marry? By the way, who was Abhi? To get these answers you need to wait for the release of the movie until 25th of July, 2014.

Preview/Analysis

You may call it a treat, a privilege or a fantasy come true for the general audience waiting for watching superstar Deb playing a double role in the movie – Character of the colourful modern personality of Abhimanyu and a formal/simple looking young man, Abhi. Veteran actor, Chiranjeet plays a special role in the film. Besides, the film shot at the various beautiful travel locations of Kolkata, Mumbai, London, etc., adding more weight-age to the script. Moreover, songs like the 'Tomake Chere Ami' by Habib and 'Party Shoes' by Sadab Hashmi and Neha Kakkar are the hit numbers catching everyone's attention. Overall, the movie a complete package of entertainment for the audience and we can rest assure that it would do a good business at the box office.
