Visitors could make sure to attend the regular Aarti (prayer) at the Dasaswamedh Ghat starting from 6:30pm every day. After watching the temple here, one may move 12 kilometre ahead to Ramnagar Fort. The Ramnagar Fort, located at the river bank, has a museum and a temple. It opens for visitors from 10am to 5pm every day. One could enter the museum by paying a nominal entry fee of RS 15. Next, one could proceed towards the Sarnath, the Buddhist pilgrim place. It has the Dhamek Stupa, Mulagandha kuti, Vihar Temple, Chini Temple, Japan Temple, Thai Temple, etc. Here, Gautama Buddha set in motion the Wheel of Law or the Mahadharmachakra Pravartan. The entry fee for the Dhamek Stupa RS 5.
The Archaeology Museum opens every day from 10am to 5pm, except Friday. Visitors could enter the museum by paying RS 5 as the entry fee. Suitable resorts like the Rahi Tourist Bunglow and the Modern Reception Centre available for visitors who wants to spend some time here.
The Shakti Peeth Vindhyachal lies 80 kilometres away from Varanasi. Travellers could see the Kalikho and the Ashtabhuja Temple. While returning, one must make sure to visit the Chunar Palace.
