The Gramin Medical College and Hospital is a self-financial autonomous body under the 1956 Act, Government of India. It works together with the AKL Group, as it is in joint venture with it. The AKL Group has been catering the needs of people more than one and a half decade now. It has been streamlining opportunities for various courses in the health arena. It is running with the aim of providing at least one doctor to the remotest areas in the country.
Courses offered and their duration
The courses done according to the ISO 9001:2008 organisation. Listed below, some of the important courses of the institute along with the course duration:
- Diploma in Community Health Medicine and Surgery (DCHMS). The course duration is four years.
- Diploma in Surgery Assistance (DSA). Course duration is four years.
- Diploma in Orthopaedic Science (DOS). Course duration is four years.
- Diploma in Dental Science (DDS). Course duration is four years.
- Diploma in Medical Radiology Imaging (DMRI). Course duration is 4 years.
- Diploma in Medical laboratory Technician (DMLT). The course duration is two years.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have the pass certificate in the 10+2 or equivalent examination from the Science stream could apply for the courses. Besides, the age limit for the courses are from 18 to 55 years.
